CIBC Mel­lon 2009 Cal­en­dar Selected for the Green Mar­ket­ing Award

Elec­tric Vil­lages Inc. is a Bronze Award win­ner in the 2009 Sum­mit Cre­ative Award. The win­ning entry, the CIBC Mel­lon 2009 Cal­en­dar, was selected for the Green Mar­ket­ing award.

Elec­tric Vil­lages strives to make use of envi­ron­men­tally friendly processes and this award is a tes­ta­ment to the com­mit­ment to the envi­ron­ment that Elec­tric Vil­lages fosters.

Made from 100% Post-Consumer Recy­cled Paper, the Cal­en­dar is pro­duced with a net reduc­tion of waste, includ­ing 21.19 trees pre­served, 27.75 kg of water­borne waste not cre­ated, 34,070 litres of waste­water flow saved, 889.49 kg net green­house gases pre­vented, and over 15 mil­lion BTUs of energy not consumed.

The Inter­na­tional Sum­mit Awards (SIA) orga­ni­za­tion was founded in 1994. The orga­ni­za­tion con­ducts the Sum­mit Cre­ative Award, the Sum­mit Mar­ket­ing Effec­tive­ness Award and the Sum­mit Emerg­ing Media Award. The 2009 Com­pe­ti­tion is the 15th year for the cre­ative awards and this year included sub­mis­sions from 26 coun­tries.
